“Quiet location, near town and beach” Reviewed January 2016 “ Everything you could want in a B&B, welcoming hosts, clean, quiet and comfortable room with tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and bottled water included. Wifi & modern TV. Great freshly cooked, locally sourced breakfast with home made bread and jam – delicious. Would highly recommend.”
“Treated like family – we loved it!” Reviewed December 2015 “ We found this Guest House on the AA website and booked in February 2015 for Christmas. We are so glad we did. Andrew and Angela treated us like family. Nothing was too much trouble. We were able to check in really early as we were having Christmas Lunch at a relative’s home. Our room was lovely, lots of nice touches with the decor. Very comfortable bed. Various types of tea, coffee, milk and bottled water provided in the room. To top it all the breakfasts were awesome! We would have happily stayed longer than 2 nights.”
“Another great weekend stay” Reviewed December 2015 “My second time at Gyves House and the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. A different room this time and very nicely decorated with a large bathroom. Very friendly hosts, but never intrusive, and genuinely keen to make sure you enjoy your stay and want to come back again.”
“Cozy and welcoming atmosphere, very good location” Reviewed November 2015 “ We had a very nice and relaxing stay. Despite that we went off-season, Andrew made sure that everything was great! The area is also nice (right next to seaside and a stone’s throw from a good number of dining options). Overall, a solid and very good choice.”
“Excellent” Reviewed November 2015 “ We stayed here for one night. The house is really lovely, simply decorated and very clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The Breakfast delicious especially homemade bread, jam and freshly cooked Full English Breakfast, I can recommend highly scrambled eggs with salmon.
Thank you Andrew and Angela for looking after us .We will happily return here.”
“Great location, clean, comfortable and very welcoming” Reviewed November 2015 “ My girlfriend and I stayed at Gyves House a few days ago and had a fantastic time. Andrew and Angela went out of their way to look after us, which was really greatly appreciated. The Guest House is very well looked after, warm and clean, the bedroom we stayed in was a good size, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and there was a good range of food available to fill you up ready for the day. The Guest House is also well located as it’s just off the main road by the seafront – so nice and quiet – but still close enough to the shops and restaurants. Gyves House was perfect for our needs and I would recommend it without hesitation.”
“What a lovely, simple place to stay” Reviewed November 2015 “ Being a family of 5 we usually stay in larger hotels with all facilities available, our mind set has now been altered as the Gyves Guest House is possibly the most pleasant one night stay we have ever had, very comfortable, amazing breakfast and lovely couple who are doing a fantastic job at running it. Nothing was too much trouble and our children were very happy to stay in their own rooms together for the night we stayed there”
“Great B&B in Eastbourne” Reviewed November 2015 “We stayed here for 1 night before the Beachy Head Marathon. Andrew & Angela were great hosts. They got up early so we could have a marathon breakfast in time for our early start. I would highly recommend the banana porridge! The room was immaculate and we had helpful advice on where to carb load the night before. Excellent.”
